The main purpose of the new knee joint design is to improve the movement of the smart artificial limb. This improvement is focused on the simplification of the mechanical mechanism that allows simplify movement of the knee joint, which mimicking or simulating normal walking, while improving the flexion of the knee joint at an angle of more than 120 degrees The knee joint is manufactured by locally available cutting machines (turning, milling, drilling) according to dimensions and engineering measurements of the new design. The model was made of ASIS 4130 Steel. The model was then drawn in the engineering solid work program and then analysis geometrically by ANSYS program to ensure the success of the new design and check the possibility of making the joint of (Aluminum alloy 7075)by comparing the results obtained from the engineering analysis with the mechanical properties of the material.
