Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, Dean of the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, has sponsored an educational workshop with the collaboration of Al-Mahatta Foundation for Entrepreneurship.  The workshop is entitled “The Private Sector and University Life." The workshop was presented by Mr. Amar Ata Fadel Al-Khatib, a certified trainer at Microsoft, Mr. Ahmed Sabhi Mahdi, the Operations Manager at Al-Saree Company, and Dr. Asil Mohammed Ali Hussein from the College of Engineering. The workshop tackled the follow topics: first, how to prepare students to enter the private sector through careful scientific steps, including enhancing personal and technical skills, also, how to write a suitable resume, in addition to, using important platforms such as Resume Worded and LinkedIn. The workshop was very successful, due to the participations of Dr. Juma, the attendees, and active interaction from the students, who presented vital ideas and suggestions in this regard. The workshop aimed to increase students' awareness of how to best invest in their university lives in order to develop the necessary skills to build a successful career path, understand and comprehend the private sector environment, and the world of entrepreneurship.
