Within the academic partnership between Freiberg University and Al-Nahrain University a delegation from Mechanical Engineering Department at Al-Nahrain University have been participated in the fifth scientific symposium, represented by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Dr.( Akeel Abdullah Mohammed) and group of the department professors, engineers, and students to develop the academic partnership between Iraqi and German Universities. Iraqi Universities and Freiberg University held the symposium in Erbil for 21-22/11/2023 with expanded participation in addition to DAAD organization representatives. In the first day of the symposium, PhD student from Mechanical Engineering Department (Ali Abdulgani) presented a seminar for his research, which was titled (DESIGN AND CONTROL OF ROBOTIC LOWER LIMB EXOSKELETON REHABILITATION CONTROLLED BY A BRAIN). Where he discussed the design and development of robotic exoskeleton for the lower limbs to assist patients with hemiplegia and spinal cord injuries in their daily activities such as walking, standing, and sitting. It also involves controlling the robotic exoskeleton using an EEG sensor to acquire brain signals for sitting, standing, and walking. Asst.
