شاركت الأستاذ المساعد الدكتورة رنا إبراهيم محمود التدريسية في قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي كرئيساً ضمن لجنة مناقشة طالبة الماجستير (زهراء حيدر لعيبي) في قسم علوم الحياة / كلية العلوم للبنات / جامعة بغداد ، عن رسالتها الموسومة:

“ Effect of Cyperus esculentus Alcoholic Extract to Treat the Side Effects of Clomipramine on Fertility in Male Albino Mice“

وكانت اللجنة برئاسة الأستاذ المساعد الدكتورة رنا إبراهيم محمود / كلية الهندسة / جامعة النهرين وعضوية الأستاذ المساعد الدكتورة سمية فاضل حمد / كلية العلوم للبنات/ جامعة بغداد والمدرس الدكتورة أفين رمضان محسن / كلية العلوم للبنات/ جامعة بغداد، وكانت الرسالة بأشراف المدرس الدكتورة عبير محمد حسن / كلية العلوم للبنات / جامعة بغداد، حيث جرت المناقشة العلنية على رحاب قاعة المكتبة المركزية في قسم علوم الحياة وذلك يوم الأثنين الموافق 09-03-2026  

تضمنت الرسالة تسليط الضوء على الدور الحيوي للمستخلصات النباتية في التقليل من التأثيرات الجانبية لبعض الأدوية، وما يمثله ذلك من أهمية علمية في مجالات العلوم الحياتية والبحوث الطبية التجريبية.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, participated as Chair of the thesis defense committee for the Master’s student Zahraa Haider Laibi in the Department of Biology, College of Science for Women, University of Baghdad.

The defense was held for the thesis entitled:

“Effect of Cyperus esculentus Alcoholic Extract to Treat the Side Effects of Clomipramine on Fertility in Male Albino Mice.”

The public defense was held in the Central Library Hall of the Department of Biology on Monday, March 9, 2026.

The thesis focused on highlighting the biological role of plant extracts in reducing the side effects of certain medications, emphasizing their scientific importance in the fields of life sciences and experimental medical research.
