The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, organized a scientific visit to the Al-Hadi Center for Neuromuscular Disorders. The visit was attended by the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, along with a group of faculty members and fifth-year students.

The purpose of this visit was to explore the latest medical devices and technologies available at the center and to learn about the diagnostic and therapeutic mechanisms used for muscle and nerve disorders.

The visit included a tour of specialized laboratories and electromyography (EMG) diagnostic equipment, in addition to reviewing advanced physiotherapy devices and modern robotic systems used in motor rehabilitation and occupational therapy.

During the visit, the Director of the Center provided a comprehensive explanation of the services offered and the methods used in managing complex medical cases. He also expressed the center’s readiness to establish research and scientific cooperation with Al-Nahrain University in the near future within the fields of applied research and clinical studies.

For their part, the faculty members and students from Al-Nahrain University expressed their great appreciation for the medical and technological advancements they observed, noting that Al-Hadi Center is the first of its kind in Iraq in terms of specialization, equipment, and the quality of services provided to patients.

This visit comes as part of Al-Nahrain University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific and academic collaboration with Iraqi research and medical institutions, contributing to the advancement of scientific research and the development of national expertise in both the medical and engineering fields.
