وتهدف الورشة الى وتهدف الورشة إلى تسليط الضوء على أهمية تحقيق الاعتماد الوطني الهندسي (NBA) في البرامج الأكاديمية الهندسية، من خلال استعراض أبرز المنهجيات المتبعة، والاستراتيجيات الفعالة، والتوصيات العملية التي تسهم في تطوير جودة التعليم الهندسي.

كما سعت الورشة إلى:

توضيح معايير الاعتماد الوطني الهندسي وآليات تطبيقها داخل المؤسسات التعليمية.

رفع الوعي الأكاديمي لدى التدريسيين حول متطلبات الجودة الأكاديمية والتوثيق المؤسسي.

تعزيز ثقافة التقييم الذاتي والتحسين المستمر في الأقسام الهندسية.

مناقشة التحديات التي تواجه المؤسسات الجامعية في سبيل تحقيق الاعتماد الوطني واقتراح الحلول المناسبة.

وقد شهدت الورشة تفاعلاً مميزاً من الحضور من خلال المناقشات والمداخلات، مما يعكس اهتمام الكوادر الأكاديمية في الكلية بموضوع جودة التعليم وسعيهم المستمر نحو التميز الأكاديمي.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, organized a workshop presented by Dr. Hussein Abdul Jaber and Dr. Muna Mustafa Kareem, faculty members in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, titled:

“Methodologies for Achieving National Engineering Accreditation: Strategies and Recommendations.”

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of achieving National Engineering Accreditation (NBA) in academic engineering programs by reviewing the key adopted methodologies, effective strategies, and practical recommendations that contribute to the development of the quality of engineering education.

The workshop also sought to:

• Clarify the standards of National Engineering Accreditation and the mechanisms for their implementation within educational institutions.

• Raise academic awareness among faculty members regarding academic quality requirements and institutional documentation.

• Promote a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement in engineering departments.

• Discuss the challenges faced by universities in achieving national accreditation and propose appropriate solutions.

The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees through discussions and contributions, reflecting the academic staff’s interest in the topic of education quality and their continuous pursuit of academic excellence.
