قام قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي وبرعاية السيد عميد كلية الهندسة المحترم الاستاذ الدكتور اياد مراد طخاخ المحترم، وبالتعاون مع شعبة البعثات والعلاقات الثقافية في كلية الهندسة، الورشة العمل الموسومة:

" تهيئة الخريجين لسوق العمل: من التخطيط الاكاديمي الى التنفيذ المهني "

وذلك في صباح يوم الاحد الموافق 1 حزيران 2025 على قاعة دجلة في رحاب كلية الهندسة. بدأت الورشة اعمالها بحضور السيد معاون العميد للشؤون العلمية أ.د. نصيرعبود الحبوبي المحترم وكذلك كل من أ.م.د. اسيل محمد علي مشؤولة شعبة البعثات والعلاقات الثقافية في كلية الهندسة والدكتورة بان الدليمي مسؤولة وحدة التأهيل والتوظيف في كلية الهندسة وعدد من تدريسيي القسم وطلبة المراحل المختلفة في الكلية.

تم خلال الورشة القاء محاضرة من قبل م.د. سمر علي جابر التدريسية في قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي بعنوان:

"استراتيجيات ربط التعليم الاكاديمي بتوظيف الخريجين "

تم خلال المحاضرة استعراض الاستراتيجيات المتبعة في قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي لتسويق الخريجين من خلال الملتقيات والزيارات العلمية واشراك الخريجين في المحافل العلمية للقسم والكلية كما تم عرض استخدام الوسائل الحديثة في التعليم الاكاديمي للطلبة لتهيأتهم لسوق العمل في مرحلة التوظيف من خلال تطوير مهارات العرض واللغة والمهام المستقبلية في القطاعين العام والخاص محليا وعالميا. كما تم الاشارة الى طرق التواصل المتبعة من قبل القسم مع الخريجين من خلال مواقع التواصل المهنية والاجتماعية وتسهيل طرق التواصل الذكي. 

كما تم خلال المحاضرة استعراض الاستراتيجيات المتبعة من قبل القسم بالتعاون مع اقسام الكلية والجامعة العلمية والادارية باشراك الطلبة بمعارض التوظيف والمحافل العلمية والمهنية التي تقوم بها الكلية والجامعة.

كما وتم في نهاية المحاضرة ادراج بعض المقترحات المستقبلية والتي تهدف الى تطوير سبل التواصل مع الجهات الحكومية والقطاع الخاص لغرض تسهيل مهمة توظيف الطلبة الخريجين وتعزيز سبل التواصل معهم لاثراء المرحلة الاكاديمية لمواكبة التطور الصناعي محليا وعالمياً. وانتهت الورشة بنقاش مثمر مع الحضور لدعم ما تم ذكره خلال المحاضرة.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, and in collaboration with the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Division of the College of Engineering, held a workshop titled:

"Preparing Graduates for the Job Market: From Academic Planning to Professional Implementation"

The event took place on the morning of Sunday, June 1, 2025, in Dijla Hall within the College of Engineering. The workshop commenced in the presence of the respected Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Naseer Aboud Al-Haboubi, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aseel Mohammed Ali, Head of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Division, Dr. Ban Al-Dulaimi, Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, several faculty members of the department, and students from various stages.

The workshop featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Samar Ali Jaber, a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, entitled:

"Strategies for Linking Academic Education with Graduate Employment"

During the lecture, strategies adopted by the Biomedical Engineering Department to promote graduates through forums, scientific visits, and involving graduates in departmental and college-level academic events were discussed. The use of modern methods in academic education was presented to better prepare students for the job market. This included developing presentation skills, language proficiency, and future task readiness for both the public and private sectors, locally and globally.

The lecture also highlighted the department’s methods of communication with alumni via professional and social media platforms, promoting smart communication channels. Additionally, the collaborative strategies between the department and other scientific and administrative units within the college and university were reviewed, particularly those that involve students in job fairs and academic/professional events organized by the college and university.

The session concluded with a presentation of future proposals aimed at enhancing communication with government and private sector entities to facilitate graduate employment and enrich the academic experience to align with industrial advancements locally and globally. The workshop ended with a fruitful discussion with attendees in support of the topics addressed during the lecture.
