نظم قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي وبرعاية كريمة من عمادة كلية الهندسة-جامعة النهرين زيارة علمية الى مركز ابن البيطار التخصصي لجراحة القلب وذلك من قبل مجموعة من التدريسيين في قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي والمتمثلة بالدكتورة سمر علي جابر والدكتورة الاء عايد جبر والدكتورة بسمة عبد الصاحب فيحان والدكتورة ريم شاكر محمود والمدرس المساعد ايناس شهاب احمد والمدرس المساعد  حمزة عباس فاضل والمهندس اقدم نادية احمد محمد والمهندسة نور باسم خلف وبرفقة طلبة المرحلة الرابعة في قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي وقد اطلع الطلبة خلال الزيارة على أقسام المستشفى المختلفة و على الاجهزة العلمية الحديثة الموجودة في المستشفى  لتعزيز الجانب العلمي مع متطلبات الجانب النظري وبما يخدم المحور الرابع من اهداف التنمية المستدامة/  التعليم الجيد (DSG-4). وقد تم التعرف على اجهزة التروية القلبية وشرح الية عملها ودور مهندس الطب الحياتي في المركز من قبل الدكتورة زينب اياد وجيه والمهندسة المدرس المساعد سيماء ازهر عبد الحسين والمهندسة امنة عبد المنعم ( خريجات قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي) حيث كانه له الدور الفاعل بتعرف الطلبة على دور خريجي القسم ومهامهم في المستشفيات والمراكز الطبية. وقد أشادت إدارة المستشفى بخبرة وإمكانية طلبة القسم من خلال تفاعلهم وإمكانياتهم في الجانب النظري وكذلك العملي وبما يخدم متطلبات المجتمع.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering, under the esteemed sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Engineering - Al-Nahrain University, organized a scientific visit to the Ibn Al-Bitar Specialized Center for Cardiac Surgery. The visit was conducted by a group of faculty members from the Biomedical Engineering Department, including:

• Asst. Lecturer Enas Shehab Ahmed

• Engineer Noor Basim Khalaf

The faculty members were accompanied by fourth-year students from the Biomedical Engineering Department.

During the visit, the students explored the various hospital departments and were introduced to the latest scientific and medical devices used in the hospital. This visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, aligning with the fourth goal of sustainable development (SDG-4) – Quality Education.

The students were introduced to cardiopulmonary bypass devices, where Dr. Zainab Iyad Wajih, Asst. Lecturer Engineer Seema Azhar Abdul-Hussein, and Engineer Amina Abdul Muneim (graduates of the Biomedical Engineering Department) explained their mechanisms and functionality. They also highlighted the role of biomedical engineers in medical centers.

The hospital administration praised the knowledge, skills, and interactive participation of the students, emphasizing their strong theoretical and practical abilities, which align with the healthcare sector's needs and serve the community's requirements.
