The Department of Biomedical Engineering contributed to the attendance of the workshop organized by the Center for Continuous Education / E-Learning Unit at the University of Al-Nahrain in collaboration with the Women's Empowerment Unit. The workshop, titled "The Role of Electronic Marketing in Women's Economic Empowerment," took place on Sunday, December 11, 2023. The workshop was attended by Dr. Alaa Ayed, Assistant Professor Noor Ali Sadiq, and Engineer Mina Thamer. The aim of the workshop was to enhance the importance of women and their role in social life, as well as their contribution to the economic system. This was achieved by highlighting the significance of social media and utilizing it positively to provide employment opportunities for women within their homes. This, in turn, contributes to helping them become financially independent and bringing financial resources to the family. The workshop was attended by a distinguished group of university professors from various disciplines.
