The Department of Biomedical Engineering participated through the attendance of Assistant Lecturer Duaa Nofal and Assistant Lecturer Fatima Ibrahim, faculty members in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, in the awareness seminar titled "Causes of Domestic Violence Crimes and Their Impact on Society." The seminar was organized by the Danah Forensic Research and Training Center at the University of Nahrein, under the supervision of the respected University President, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi.

The seminar took place on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 9:30 AM. The discussion during the seminar focused on the psychological effects of domestic violence on children and teenagers, both from theoretical and practical perspectives. It also addressed the role of community policing in confronting domestic violence and its effective contribution to monitoring and regulating social issues.
