The Engineering of Prosthetics and Orthotics Supports
Laboratories organized a successful workshop on the application of
nanotechnology techniques in improving the field of prosthetics and orthotics.
Engineer Malak Medin Mohsen delivered an engaging and thought-provoking
lecture, highlighting the latest technologies and innovations available in this
field. Several prominent uses of nanotechnology were reviewed in
the manufacturing of prosthetics and orthotic devices, contributing to their
improved functionality and user comfort. These techniques include the
utilization of advanced nanomaterials in the production of artificial limbs. These new technologies are especially beneficial in
overcoming the challenges faced by individuals in need of artificial limbs and
orthotic devices. Attendees actively participated in the workshop, sharing
their ideas and questions, and exchanging experiences and knowledge related to
nanotechnology in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. This workshop
provides a valuable opportunity to enhance communication and continuous
learning among experts and stakeholders. It is expected that this workshop will lead to further
development and innovation in prosthetics and orthotic devices.
