The Department of Biomedical Engineering, as part of its scientific activities plan for the academic year 2023-2024, organized a scientific workshop. Dr. Alaa Ayed Jaber delivered a scientific lecture titled 'Applications of Biomaterials' on Thursday, December 21, 2023. The lecture covered the concept of biomaterials and their significance in the medical field, diverse mechanisms used in their manufacturing and preparation, and their wide-ranging practical applications, particularly in the medical field. The workshop was attended by the department head, Dr. Aunas Qusai Hashim, faculty members, and staff of the Biomedical Engineering Department. The session concluded with constructive discussions and feedback, contributing to the exchange of scientific ideas and the enhancement of the department's labs involved in utilizing these materials to benefit undergraduate and postgraduate students.
