As part of the efforts of the Biomedical Engineering Department to expand collaboration and enhance practical skills for students, the department organized a specialized workshop for fifth-year students on Thursday, December 7, 2023. The workshop included a detailed explanation of the latest endoscopy techniques. Engineers Mustafa Rashid and Abbas Sabri from the Atqan Office, representatives of Stores Endoscope Company, which is a leading company in the field and employs many of our graduates, contributed to the workshop. They were welcomed by Engineer Hadeer Muayyad Muhammad, a laboratory lecturer and one of the department's graduates.

This visit was a unique opportunity to strengthen practical education. The engineers delivered an extensive lecture on modern endoscopy techniques, their developments, and the importance of the sector in Iraq for graduates of Biomedical Engineering. The required skills and core values for excellence in this field were discussed, and a practical exam for students was conducted at the end of the workshop.

This visit marks an important step towards strengthening the ties between the academic and private sectors. The engineers discussed future plans with the department head, Assistant Professor Dr. Aunas Qusai Hashem, and agreements were made to organize specialized workshops and provide suggestions for the development of academic curricula in collaboration with the private sector. Both parties expressed their desire for collaboration, and workshops like these enrich students with the latest information and technologies available in the job market through collaboration with the private sector.
