The Biomedical Engineering Department played a significant role in the events of the Fifth International Scientific Conference on Creativity and Innovation. The conference was held under the patronage of His Excellency, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education, in collaboration with the Research and Development Department, the University of Al-Nahrain, and the Iraqi International Forum for Creativity and Innovation. The activities were conducted under the supervision of the esteemed President of the University of Al-Nahrain, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Aziz Al-Shawi, and the respected Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad.

Prof. Dr. Jamal Abdul Jabbar Hassan served as the chairman of the academic research session and was a member of the scientific committee of the conference. Assistant Prof. Dr. Hadeel Qasim Wadi participated as a member of the scientific committee, evaluating biomedical engineering research. She also served as the chairperson of one of the scientific research sessions and presented one of her own research papers. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Jamal Abdul Jabbar Hassan, Assistant Prof. Dr. Aunas Qusai Hashem, and Dr. Aiman Ghadban Khalil participated in the session dedicated to patents and innovation, alongside a group of graduate students from the department. All participants were honored with certificates and the International Creativity Medal.
