The efforts of academics and students in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering at Al-Nahrain University have become evident and tangible through their remarkable volunteer initiative. A team of professors and students specializing in this field have designed and manufactured innovative industrial support to treat a child suffering from flat feet.

The industrial support was filled with advanced technologies and durable, lightweight materials to provide comfort and the necessary support for the child's injured foot. Leveraging their academic and technical skills, the team was able to design support that provides stability and effective correction for the conditions causing the child's flat feet.

In a notable gesture, the team provided these Orthotics free of charge to the needy child, to improve their life and alleviate their suffering. This voluntary work reflects the commitment of academics and students to actively contribute to society and provide support and care for those in need.

One of the participating students in this volunteer work expressed, "We are proud of what we have achieved through this project. We have given the child an opportunity to live better, reflecting the spirit of giving and solidarity that we embody as members of the academic community."

Higher education institutions should be centers of innovation and inspiration.
