The Department of Chemical Engineering held a workshop entitled "Organizing Projects for Women and Promoting Decent Work for Them" on Thursday, November 16, 2023. The workshop was presented by Dr. Waqar Abdulwahid and Dr. Akhlas Abdul Rahman.

The workshop discussed the role of women in entrepreneurship and organizing projects to contribute to providing economic income to meet financial requirements. Decent work refers to productive work that provides additional income and protects rights, with sufficient social protection, respect for social dialogue, and combating discrimination in the labor market. The workshop included real-life examples of women's empowerment in pursuing decent professions previously unavailable to them. Several department faculty members attended the workshop.
