The Department of Biomedical Engineering was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud and Dr. Asil Mohammad Ali Hussein, who participated in the workshop titled "Most Commonly Used Programs for Mechanical Simulation" on Thursday, October 26, 2023. The workshop was conducted by Eng. Rend Nabil Mohammad Ali and Eng. Zahraa Haitham Lateef.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce the nature of mechanical simulation programs and their economic benefits, particularly as they are adopted as a pre-process to practical tests, comparing them to practical experiments. The workshop covered the workings of simulation programs, delving into simulation steps. It also addressed various classifications of mechanical simulation programs, providing the latest methods with examples. The presentation included a detailed explanation of the top five mechanical simulation software currently in use, comparing them based on installation methods, whether on a computer or through cloud memory via a browser, and discussing the cost of these programs. The presentation also highlighted the criteria to consider when choosing suitable simulation programs for the desired application, taking into account factors such as application type, cost, available time, and considering the learning curve for these software applications.
