Students of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering department embarked on an important scientific visit to the Baghdad International Exhibition as part of the Iraqi-Indian collaboration campaign. The campaign aims to manufacture 1000 artificial limbs for people with disabilities free of charge, and the students were introduced to the ongoing events at the exhibition and the collaborative efforts between the two countries to achieve this goal. The visit seamlessly combined theoretical learning efforts with practical hands-on experience, as the students were exposed to a diverse range of devices and techniques used in the manufacturing of artificial limbs. The impressive speed of producing prosthetics within two hours greatly impressed the students, confirming the effectiveness and quality of the cooperation between the two nations. The students expressed positive feedback regarding the opportunities given to them to learn from professionals in the field and to familiarize themselves with the methods used in prosthetics production. Thanks to this valuable experience, they feel prepared and confident to face future challenges in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering.
