Under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ali Abdel Aziz Al-Shawi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, and in the presence of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Musaab Ayed Kassab, the Civil Engineering Department held a workshop on Tuesday, 10/17/2023, entitled:

"The Role of Program Accreditation in successful Bologna Process Implementation"

It was delivered by the Chairman of the Accreditation Council for Engineering Education (Professor Dr. Ziad Suleiman Muhammad Khaled) and a member of the Accreditation Council for Engineering Education (Professor Dr. Jalal Muhammad Khalil), in which the following was discussed:

·         Highlighting the importance of academic program accreditation in successfully implementing and implementing the Bologna Process.

·         Review the benefits and challenges that educational institutions can face in this process.

·         The basic mechanisms and principles of the program accreditation process and their role in enhancing educational quality and improving the educational process in the field of civil engineering were explained.

·         Providing an opportunity for participants from the Civil Engineering Department and other scientific departments in the college to ask questions and discuss in the workshop.

At the end of the workshop, the efforts of all speakers and attendees in enriching the content and enhancing educational quality in the field of civil engineering were appreciated, as a certificate of appreciation was awarded to (Professor Dr. Ziad Suleiman Muhammad Khaled and Professor Dr. Jalal Muhammad Khalil) by the Dean of the College of Engineering
