Lecturer and two students from Chemical Engineering Department publish research in an international journal

Assistant Professor Muhannad A.R. Mohammed, the student Abbas Hammed Mahibis  in the Chemical Engineering Department of Al-Nahrain University published research entitled:

Effect of Barite as a Weighting Agent on the Properties

 of Non- Newtonian Fluids

in the International Journal of Multidisciplinary Sciences and Advanced Technology

   The research deals with the behavior of non-newtonian fluids under the increasing concentration of barite. It was found that both yield point and plastic viscosity increased with increasing concentration of barite. Also, it was found that the density increased with increasing the concentration of barite.
