The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific visit for first-year students to the Scientific Care Directorate. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the nature of the directorate’s work, introduce them to its various divisions and operational mechanisms, and enhance their practical and academic knowledge.

The visit included a field tour of the divisions and units affiliated with the directorate, during which the students learned about the working mechanisms and the scientific and administrative services provided. They were also introduced to the procedures followed in supporting research and scientific activities. In addition, the visit sought to connect academic study with practical application and to raise students’ awareness of the importance of scientific institutions that support development and innovation.

The directorate includes a number of scientific and training divisions and activities that focus on developing the skills of students and young people in scientific and technological fields. Among the most notable divisions highlighted in the directorate’s activities and programs are:

• Astronomy and Planetarium Division
• Computer and Programming Division
• Aviation and Modeling Division
• Electricity and Electronics Division
• Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Division
• Testing and Gifted Students Division
• Training divisions for scientific and technical courses

The students showed great enthusiasm and engagement throughout the visit, expressing their appreciation for the efforts made by the directorate’s staff in providing scientific explanations and guidance.
