The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University organized the third discussion sessions for the graduation projects of fifth-year students. The event was attended by the President of Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Aziz Al-Shawi, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Omar Farooq Abdul Rasheed, the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs Prof. Dr. Alaa Hussein Abdul Hafidh, the Dean of the College of Engineering Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, and the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering Prof. Dr. Anas Qusay Hashim, in addition to a number of faculty members from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and other departments.

The event was held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the premises of the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University.

The activity included presentations and discussions of the graduation projects prepared by fifth-year students. The students delivered detailed presentations explaining the ideas behind their projects and the objectives they aim to achieve. They also highlighted the scientific and practical aspects of their work in the field of biomedical engineering, in addition to presenting the project development stages and the preliminary results obtained.

During the sessions, faculty members conducted scientific discussions and provided constructive feedback aimed at improving the projects and enhancing the academic and practical quality of the students’ research work.

These discussion sessions aim to strengthen students’ skills in scientific presentation and discussion, develop their research capabilities, and support innovative ideas that contribute to providing engineering and technological solutions to medical problems, while also linking academic knowledge with practical applications in biomedical engineering.
