Under the patronage of the Deanship of Al-Nahrain University – College of Engineering, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a scientific workshop entitled “Confronting Digital Violence and Cyberbullying” on Thursday, 12 March 2026, at the Graduate Studies Hall in the department.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Hind Diaa Redha and Engineer Manar Hasim Sahib, who presented an overview of the concept of digital violence and cyberbullying, highlighting their forms and psychological and social impacts. The workshop also reviewed the most important preventive and awareness-based approaches to reduce these phenomena in educational and community environments.

The workshop further discussed several aspects related to the safe and responsible use of digital technologies and social media platforms, emphasizing the importance of promoting digital awareness and fostering a culture of respect and positive communication among students.

The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the department, where discussions and contributions enriched its themes and highlighted the importance of organizing such awareness activities that contribute to building a safe and responsible educational environment.
