The College of Engineering and the Student Activities Division at the Presidency of Al-Nahrain University organized a collective Iftar banquet for dormitory students at the university, under the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ayad Murad Takhakh, and in the presence of the Assistant Presidents of the University for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, as well as members of the College of Engineering Council. The banquet was held on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, in the gardens of the College of Engineering, in a Ramadan atmosphere characterized by a spirit of friendliness and solidarity. The event was attended by a number of faculty members and staff of the college, in addition to dormitory students and students from the Study in Iraq program. This initiative comes as part of the college administration’s commitment to supporting students residing in the university dormitories and strengthening communication with them, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, in a way that reinforces humanitarian and social values among members of the university community. The banquet was marked by a warm and friendly atmosphere that reflected the spirit of solidarity and cooperation between students and the college staff. Students expressed their appreciation and gratitude for this initiative, which enhanced their sense of belonging and helped ease the feeling of being away from their families during their period of study.
For his part, the Dean emphasized that organizing such events comes within a series of social and cultural activities that the college is keen to hold in support of students and to foster a positive university environment that contributes to the success of their academic journey.
