Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit and the University Psychological Counseling Unit, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Combating Digital Violence and Cyberbullying” on Thursday, 19 February 2026, at the Graduate Studies Hall of the department. The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Enas Abdulameer Abboud and Assistant Lecturer Alq Saad Hussein, who addressed the risks of digital violence and its psychological and social impacts, as well as the ways to reduce cyberbullying through raising awareness and promoting the safe and responsible use of digital technologies and social media platforms. The seminar also emphasized the role of educational institutions in spreading awareness about digital risks and fostering a culture of mutual respect and digital responsibility, contributing to the creation of a safe and supportive university environment. The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students, and witnessed positive interaction through discussions and interventions that enriched its themes, highlighting the importance of organizing such awareness activities to enhance students’ digital awareness.
