Under the patronage of the College of Engineering Deanship and the supervision of the Department of Architectural Engineering, the First-Year Students’ Works Exhibition was held on Wednesday, December 22, 2025. The exhibition presented the final review of the first design project within the Fundamentals of Design course, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Rasha Abdul Kareem Ali, with the participation of the first-year teaching staff.
The exhibition was attended by the Dean of the College, who reviewed the students’ works and praised the clear level of design thinking and precision in execution.
The projects focused on applying design principles through analytical and experimental approaches, expressed through two-dimensional and three-dimensional compositions. Students explored design principles and translated them into clear visual relationships, demonstrating noticeable development in their ability to connect design elements, principles, and color, and to transition methodically from planar compositions to three-dimensional spatial thinking. This project represents a foundational stage in building students’ visual and conceptual design skills, preparing them for more advanced projects in the following academic stages.
