The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering participated in the Industrial Advisory Council meeting held by the College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, in Al-Rafidain Hall, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ayad Murad Tkhakh, along with representatives of industrial sectors, relevant state institutions, faculty members, and representatives of the scientific departments

The meeting was attended by the President of Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Shawi, who presented valuable remarks and proposals on the importance of strengthening the role of universities in supporting development and linking engineering education to labor market needs, wishing the council success in achieving its objectives.

The meeting also witnessed the attendance of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Hussein Abd, who contributed with supportive remarks on developing partnerships between the university and the industrial sector.

During the meeting, participants discussed the follow-up of previous recommendations, and the College Deanship reviewed its achievements in institutional cooperation, field training, curriculum development, linking graduation projects to industrial challenges, as well as digital transformation projects and the industrial partnership platform, all aimed at enhancing the alignment of engineering education outcomes with labor market requirements.
