Students from the College of Engineering, represented by Sarmad Khalil Mohammed from the Computer Engineering Department (third year), carried out a humanitarian volunteer activity aimed at caring for stray cats on campus. The volunteer work included: providing food and water for the cats regularly;maintaining the cleanliness of food distribution areas;identifying cats in need of assistance and providing them with basic care;and promoting a culture of animal welfare among students and the surrounding community.This initiative contributed to alleviating the suffering of animals and strengthening the values of compassion and social responsibility among students.
This volunteer activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land, which focuses on protecting living organisms, conserving the natural environment, and promoting humane treatment of animals.
