Under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, the Department of Biomedical Engineering organized a scientific visit conducted by a group of the department’s faculty members to the Al-Warith International Foundation for Cancer Treatment, as well as Khadija Al-Kubra (A.S.) Women’s Specialized Hospital and Al-Mujtaba Hospital in the Holy City of Karbala.

The visit took place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, accompanied by third- and fourth-year students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The staff of the Foundation warmly received the visiting delegation and accompanied the students throughout various hospital departments, laboratories, and modern scientific equipment facilities.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the students’ practical knowledge and align it with the theoretical aspects of their coursework. The hospital administration praised the students’ skills and competence, as demonstrated through their interaction and understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects, reflecting the strong academic and technical foundation of the department and its specialization.
