Prof. Dr. Anas Qusay Hashem, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, participated in the final stage of the “Three Minutes Thesis (3MT)” competition held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the University of Technology. The competition aims to enhance the presentation skills of postgraduate students by enabling them to explain their theses and research projects in a clear and concise three-minute format, thereby strengthening their abilities in scientific communication and impactful delivery while helping them convey their research ideas effectively to an academic audience. The preliminary rounds at the college level witnessed the participation of over one thousand students from various Iraqi universities, of whom only ten finalists qualified for the final stage. These finalists presented their work before a specialized judging panel, in an atmosphere that reflected innovation and academic excellence. Prof. Dr. Anas’s participation came as part of the College of Engineering’s commitment to supporting scientific and research activities that enhance students’ competencies and encourage them to develop their academic and presentation skills. The judging committee and attendees expressed their best wishes for continued success to the winners and extended their encouragement to all participating students in their future research and academic endeavors.
