Under the direct patronage and blessing of the Custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, His Eminence Sheikh Mehdi Al-Karbala’i (may he be respected), and with the support of the Dean of the College of Engineering and the Head of the Department of Architecture at Al-Nahrain University — and in order to strengthen academic collaboration between the holy shrines and departments of architecture, as well as to support, preserve, and promote traditional crafts as part of our local identity —

The Department of Architecture / Al-Nahrain University is pleased to announce a workshop for undergraduate students entitled:

“Craft Sustainability: The Karbala Tile Industry.”

This workshop is organized in collaboration with the Maintenance Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and with the participation of Dr. Haider Naji Atiya, Architect, from the Department of Architecture / University of Karbala.

The workshop will be held, God willing, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Department of Architecture / Al-Nahrain University.

All architecture students are cordially invited to attend.
