Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aseel Mohammed Ali Hussein from the Department of Biomedical Engineering participated in a meeting held by the President of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, Prof. Dr. Eng. Fayyadh Mohammed Abd, on Monday, 15 September 2025, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Jamal Jasim, Director of the Directorate of Patents and Industrial Designs, along with a number of academics from various Iraqi universities.

The meeting was an important opportunity to present visions and develop proposals within the work of advisory committees, emphasizing that a patent represents a living value that goes beyond proving a passing achievement and opens new horizons for progress. The discussions also addressed mechanisms for developing patent and industrial design systems, encouraging researchers to register their innovations in line with international standards, while strengthening intellectual property protection and advancing the industrial sector.
