The thesis was approved, fulfilling the requirements for the Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.
This study aims to develop an intelligent system based on deep learning techniques for the automatic detection and classification of coronary artery stenosis using X-ray Coronary Angiography images, employing YOLOv8 variants and Faster R-CNN to evaluate performance, accuracy, and speed under diverse clinical conditions.
The results demonstrated high efficiency, with the models achieving advanced accuracy and suitable processing speed for practical application, confirming that the proposed system can serve as a supportive tool for physicians in diagnosing coronary heart diseases and enhancing the quality of medical care.
