Participation in a Master’s Thesis Defense Committee

Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmood, faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, participated as a member of the defense committee for the master’s student Mohammed Mushrif Nawaf Saleh in the Department of Biology / College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Anbar, for his thesis entitled:

“Histological and biochemical comparison of the effect of Actinidia deliciosa and L-carnitine on benzo(a)pyrene-induced testicular toxicity in male albino rats”

The committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mahdi Saleh Shalal – College of Medicine / University of Anbar, and included Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmood – College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Maryam Ibrahim Salman – College of Science / University of Anbar.

The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Louay Hatem Ali and Dr. Nafeh Ahmed Saud, both from the College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Anbar.

The thesis was scientifically evaluated by:

• Prof. Dr. Maisar Abdullah Ahmed – College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Tikrit

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Nahida Ibrahim Hammadi – College of Pharmacy / University of Anbar

It was linguistically reviewed by:

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Waad Mohammed Saeed – College of Education for Human Sciences / University of Anbar

And statistically reviewed by:

• Prof. Dr. Firas Shaker Mahmood – College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Anbar

The public defense was held in Al-Biruni Hall on Thursday, 28th August 2025, and the student was awarded the degree of Master’s with Distinction.
