The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, and supervised by the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Dr. Ansen Qusay Hashim, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the college, organized a specialized training course titled:
"Latest Developments in Medical Ultrasound Imaging" The course was delivered by a group of graduates, including Engineer Ahmed Abdul-Salam Hamed, one of the department’s alumni and representative of Essen Gate Scientific Office, who served as the course lecturer. The course aimed to enhance the skills of students and graduates in medical imaging technologies. It included theoretical modules covering the basic principles and clinical applications of ultrasound technology, as well as practical, hands-on sessions using the equipment available in the department’s laboratories, in addition to modern devices provided by the company to support the training process. The course lasted for five days, from July 20 to July 24, 2025, and witnessed remarkable engagement from the participants. It concluded with an evaluation test to measure the participants’ benefit and to determine their successful completion of the course requirements.
These initiatives reflect the department’s commitment to strengthening practical training, linking students to the labor market, and developing their skills in line with scientific and technological advancements in their field.
