A viva was conducted at nine o’clock in the morning on Thursday, 4/6/2023, in the council room of the Civil Engineering Department / College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University, for a master’s student in the Department of Civil Engineering (Mustafa Moaz Badr) for his dissertation titled:

Numerical Study for Improving Performance of Retaining Structures under Earthquake Loading in Sandy Soils

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Rasoul Aziz / College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Haitham Alaa Hussein / College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University and Assistant Professor Dr. Belqis Abdel-Wahed Ahmed / College of Engineering / University of Baghdad. The thesis was completed under the supervision Prof. Dr. Qassun Saad El-Din Mohamed Shafiq from the Civil Engineering Department / College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University

The thesis was scientifically evaluated by the first scientific reviewer (Prof. Dr. Alaa Daoud Salman) / College of Engineering / University of Baghdad and the second scientific reviewer (Prof. Dr. Medhat Shaker Medhat / College of Engineering / University of Al-Mustansiriya) and linguistically by ( Dr. Ahmed Farhan Moyes / Faculty of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University), where the thesis was accepted as it fulfilled the requirements for obtaining a master's degree.
