“Design and Construction of Tunable Optical all Fiber Filter under external magnetic field "
A magnetic filter based on optical fibers was design and constructed , is consisting of a small piece of NCF splicing between two single-mode fibers. The model was simulated using COMSOL software. Experimentally, the maximum tuning capability of the magnetic field filter reached approximately 19.2 nm at a concentration of 0.4% of ferrofluid. Additionally, a new method for manufacturing a magnetic filter was utilized by depositing nanoparticles of iron oxide (Fe₃O₄) on NCF using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) techniques. The tunability was investigated for three different pulse counts, with the maximum tunability reaching approximately 0.621 nanometers at number of shots of 300 pulses.
