A delegation from the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering at the College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University , which included Prof. Dr. Ayad Murad Takhakh and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdul Samee Al-Droubi, visited the Erbil Polytechnic University / Technical College of Health and Medicine, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics, to learn about the opportunities to join the accreditation program of the International Organization for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO). The visit aimed to enhance cooperation between the Erbil Polytechnic University and the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University. The meeting was held with the Dean of the College, Dr. Murad Amir Ahmed, and the Head of the Department, Dr. Dhikra Ali Aziz.

The visit included the following paragraphs:

1- The visiting team discussed the application mechanisms and the conditions required to join the ISPO program.

2- The opportunities for research and academic cooperation between the two universities in the field of prosthetics and orthotics were discussed.

3- Prof. Dr. Ayad Murad Takhakh gave a lecture at the Technical College on the modern fields used within the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

4- A tour was conducted in the Technical College to see the laboratories of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Department in Erbil.

5- The Limbs and Support Center in Erbil was visited to see the available capabilities to provide the best services to an important segment of society.
