Under the direction of Professor Dr. Juma Salman Jiyad, Dean of the College of Engineering / University of Nahrain, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ayad Murad Takhakh and Assistant Professor Dr. Zuhair Khader Allawi, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and within a series of various scientific field visits adopted by the college, a scientific visit to (Al-Khadhra Bridge - University) was launched on Thursday morning, 10/24/2024, from the College of Engineering / Department of Civil Engineering, in a step to enhance the practical aspect of students with theoretical study materials. It was carried out by a group of lecturers and students in the College of Engineering.

The visiting delegation met with representatives of the beneficiary, the Projects Department of the Baghdad Municipality, and representatives of the implementing company, who interacted with the visiting delegation by providing detailed information about the approved treatment mechanism for the rehabilitation of the bridge based on the study prepared in advance by the engineering consulting office at the University of Nahrain. A comprehensive scientific explanation was provided by the professors of the Civil Engineering Department accompanying the students on the visit.

The scientific visit came in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance cooperation with other community institutions in a way that serves the country’s interest and enhances its development aspect, especially since the fourth-year students in the Civil Engineering Department are part of Iraq’s hope for construction and urban development.
