Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. Juma Salman Jiyad, and under the supervision of the respected Department of Computer Engineering, a workshop was organized and presented by the visiting professor from the University of Malaysia, Tenaga, Professor Dr. Firas Basem Ismail, Director of the Smart Energy Generation Centre on Thuesday 14 May 2024

Workshop on Crafting Successful Research Proposals: Providing guidance on writing compelling research proposals for international grants

“It received great interest from the attendees.

In this workshop, Professor Dr. Firas Bassem Ismail addressed the formulation of successful research proposals and provided guidance on writing compelling research proposals for international grants.

The workshop was attended by the department’s teaching staff and a number of graduate students in the department due to the importance of the topic in arranging successful steps to submit useful research proposals during their scientific career.

Many thanks to the visiting professor for giving his valuable lecture at the College of Engineering, which was one of a series of lectures he gave at the college coinciding with the launch of the Fourth International Engineering Conference, organized by the College of Engineering/Al-Nahrain University for the period May 15-16.

In conclusion, the Dean of the College of Engineering presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to the visiting guest for his rich scientific efforts presented in the College of Engineering.
