In the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the doctoral student and faculty member, Reem Shakir Mahmoud, defended her thesis entitled "Design and Implementation of Maxillofacial Prosthesis Using Three-Dimensional Imaging Tools." The defense committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saied Kataa, the President of Al-Warith Al-Anbiya University, and included Professor Dr. Laith Abdul Aziz Abbas from the College of Science at the University of Al-Nahrain, Professor Dr. Wajdi Sadiq Aboud from the Department of Prosthetics and Industrial Supports Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Al-Nahrain, Assistant Professor Dr. Anas Qusay Hashem from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Al-Nahrain, and Assistant Professor Dr. Hadeel Qasim Wadi from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Al-Nahrain. The thesis was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Sadeq Jaafar Abbas from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Al-Nahrain and Dr. Akram Hamdi Ali from the Arab Board of Health Specializations in Iraq. The scientific examination was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassanein Ahmed Hadi from the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad and Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Mahmoud Ali from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Technology, while the linguistic examination was carried out by Dr. Hassanein Ali Lfta from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Al-Nahrain. The thesis was accepted as it met the requirements for obtaining a doctoral degree with distinction.
