The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering - University of Al-Nahrain hosted some professors and students from the Department of Prosthetics and Industrial Supports through a scientific visit organized by the Department of Prosthetics and Industrial Supports to the Biomechanics Laboratory at the Biomedical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering - University of Al-Nahrain on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The visit was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Dunia Abdul-Sahib, a faculty member in the Department of Prosthetics and Industrial Supports, accompanied by a group of fourth-year students in the Department of Prosthetics and Industrial Supports. They were received by Dr. Basma Abdul-Sahib Fayhan, who represents one of the laboratory managers. The purpose of the visit was to learn about joint simulation devices and force measurement platforms available in the department, which are used to measure forces affecting skeletal structures and joints. Consequently, they contribute to evaluating the performance of joints and the spine, as well as to the development and improvement of bone grafting and the design of industrial supports. This visit was of great importance in enhancing scientific cooperation between the academic departments and supporting the theoretical aspect with practical applications in the department's courses.
