Some faculty members from the Biomedical Engineering Department participated in the scientific symposium titled "Mastering Research Papers from Plan to Final Product for Publication". The participants included Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, Assistant Lecturer Duaa Nofel Hazem, and Assistant Lecturer Fatima Ibrahim Yasser. The symposium took place at the Information Engineering College at the University of Al-Nahrain, held in Dr. Mazen's Hall. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Jameel Rabie Al-Obaidi, a faculty member at Sultan Idris University of Education in Malaysia.

The aim of the symposium was to familiarize attendees with the correct mechanisms of scientific publishing in journals with scientific rigor and research scope. Additionally, it aimed to educate on the proper selection process of publishing outlets and their scientific standards. The symposium included a detailed explanation of publishing rules, setting publication goals, avoiding common errors, precise selection of scientific journals, and defining the principles and importance of publishing.
