The Department of Biomedical Engineering participated in an international scientific conference, where Professor Dr. Jamal Abdul Jabbar Hassan and Dr. Iman Ghadban Khalil, faculty members in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, along with master's student Raghad Rasul Abdul Latif and engineer Saman Hameed Majid, presented at the Fifth International Scientific Conference on Biomedical and Health Sciences. The conference was held by Jihan University in Erbil, in collaboration with the University of Warsaw Faculty of Life Sciences and the University of Babylon College of Medicine, on March 6th-7th, 2024. They presented a research titled: "Comparative effect of laser, ultrasound, and acouso-optic therapeutic strategies on breast cancer cell line."

The conference aimed to gather researchers and scientists to exchange scientific information and expertise by discussing their various research projects in the lecture halls of Jihan University in Erbil.
