The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a scientific visit for the fourth-year students to the Center of Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, in coordination with the Al-Nahrain Research Center for Renewable Energy. The visit aims to acquaint the students about scientific research on solar energy and its importance in reducing gas emissions that mainly contribute to climate change. The students were also briefed on the solar systems manufactured by the Ministry, which feed buildings without relying on energy produced from fossil fuels. Note that the Department of Chemical Engineering has introduced terms related to alternative energy, and in the final stage, it studies the energy of: biomass, solar energy, wind, and many other related terms. The students were accompanied by the department's rapporteur and a number of lecturers.
