Department Council Authorities

  1. Discussing the curricula, their individual items’ description, related textbooks, and suggesting their improvement and alteration according to the recommendations from the faculty members.
  2. Recommending the academic department requirement concerning the provision of faculty members, technicians and inviting lecturers from other academic and industrial faculties.
  3. Approving the scientific research projects submitted by the academic departments’ members, and proposing improvement techniques for the ultimate benefit of their publishing. Recommending the consolidation of scientific research, books, and books translation activities as well as taking interest in students’ research by providing the requirements for their implementation.
  4. Implementing the decisions of the College Council.
  5. Founding new educational and scientific committees according to the academic department needs.
  6. Supervising and developing the teaching and training methods as well as managing duties conduction of the teaching staff and other members of the department. Moreover, managing the students’ scientific affairs at different stages of their study through continuous scientific and practical supervision.
  7. Following up with the scientific developments and the progress of knowledge and science in the research community and directing the faculty members to modernise the curricula and taught subjects making them compatible with these scientific and technological advances.
  8. Partial authorisation to the head of the department.
