A delegation from the Korean Embassy in Baghdad and from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) a well as representatives from MOHESR visited the College of Engineering on Sunday, Oct 14, 2018. They were received by the Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Abdul Sattar, Prof. Dr. Ra’ad Sami Faiyadh, and the Multimedia Language Lab supervision and operational team in the college.
The visit was to discuss the benefits of using the Multimedia Language Lab, the success of the project, and how it is being operated by the college faculty, as well as the obstacles and difficulties that the operating staff, faculty, and students faced in using the lab’s software and equipment since the establishment of the lab in 2015 till our present day. The Korean delegation expressed great joy upon visiting the lab and witnessing how well organized and maintained it is, as well as the frequency of operating it by the staff and the faculty of our college. The three parties also discussed future development plans for the lab such as the plan to make it a center recognized by MOHESR to teach the courses and conduct the tests of English Proficiency and IC3 for Applicants to postgraduate studies. In addition, further future cooperation between our college and the Korean side was considered that may serve the educational process and the possibility of applying for Korean universities’ scholarships and study grants for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
