The seminar took place from November 21 to 22, 2023 in Erbil, Iraq. Its aim was to enhance collaboration between the Technical University of Freiberg (TUBAF) in Germany and participating partner universities in Iraq, including:

3.    Erbil Polytechnic University

4.    Koya University

5.    University of Al-Nahrain

6.    Duhok Polytechnic University

7.    Sulaimani Polytechnic University

8.    Tishk International University

The seminar focused on future cooperation fields between the Technical University of Freiberg and Iraqi universities in the areas of manufacturing engineering, processes, materials, and additive manufacturing for industrial modeling. Salahaddin University-Erbil hosted the seminar, with funding from the DAD Organization and the German Federal Foreign Office.

A delegation from the University of Al-Nahrain, including department heads, professors, and some students from the Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Support and Prosthetic Limb Engineering departments, participated. It is worth mentioning that a master's student from the Industrial Support and Prosthetic Limb Engineering department presented her joint research supervised by both the University of Al-Nahrain's department and the Technical University of Freiberg.
