Al-Nahrain University, under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering and organized by the Department of Computer Engineering, held a scientific seminar entitled *“Digital Entrepreneurship”* on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Dijla Hall, with the attendance of academics, students, and those interested in the field.

The seminar featured a number of specialists in technology and entrepreneurship, including Ahmed Fahad Al-Shakra, Eng. Hussein Qaiser, and Eng. Ahmed Alawi Abdulridha, who delivered presentations on the importance of digital innovation, the role of smart solutions in supporting projects, and the future prospects of entrepreneurship in the modern era.

The session was chaired by Dr. Atheel Nofal Mohammed Taher and coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Safaa Al-Din, during which key challenges and opportunities in the digital economy were discussed, along with ways to support startups and emerging projects.

The seminar also highlighted the connection between digital entrepreneurship and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly **Quality Education** through enhancing digital skills, **Decent Work and Economic Growth** by fostering innovation and job creation, and **Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure** through promoting advanced technological solutions.

This seminar comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of innovation and empower students to keep pace with modern technological developments, contributing to sustainable development.
