Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Safaa Al-Din Bahaa Al-Din,
from the Department of Computer Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, has
published a new scientific research paper entitled: A Lightweight, GPU-Accelerated Batch Image Encryption
Framework with Integrated ECC and Multi-Attack Resilience The research was published in the international journal
Engineering Science and Technology, an International Journal (Elsevier) in
2026. The study proposes a lightweight image-encryption framework accelerated
using GPU computing, which combines chaotic encryption techniques with
integrated Error Correction Codes (ECC) to enhance the security and reliability
of image transmission over noisy communication networks. The proposed framework
employs a 3-D logistic chaotic map for keystream generation, pixel-level
permutation and diffusion operations, and RS/LDPC error-correction mechanisms,
enabling secure and robust transmission of visual data.
The research was conducted in collaboration with Noor Baha
Al-Din (Hasan Kalyoncu University, Türkiye) and Mahmut Aykaç (Gaziantep
University, Türkiye), contributing to the advancement of secure multimedia
transmission and cryptographic techniques for modern communication systems.
